WHITMORES TREE FARM

At Whitmores Tree Farm, we offer the widest selection of beautiful shade and ornamental trees in the Hamptons. We travel across the country to select the best plant materials available, meticulously checking each tree individually so only the best are chosen for our farm. Here, they are nurtured, pruned and cared for to ensure that they thrive. Whitmores Tree Farm has expanded to include a vast variety of trees and shrubs we grow ourselves.

The farm, established in 1986, has grown to over 200 hundred acres, in two locations. We offer rare and unusual plant selections from foreign and exotic regions, as well as native trees and shrubs. Visit the farm and you’ll find huge magnolias, giant bald cypress and swamp maples big enough for a tree house, Montauk shad, large caliper shade trees, row upon row of Cryptomeria, arborvitae and spruce (for screening), and a wide choice of beeches and willows. You will also see crab apples, cherries and rarely seen Stewartia and Franklinia, as well as towering evergreens and exotic dwarfs.

We’ve found that our locally raised trees and shrubs transplant better and acclimate faster to our area’s unique climate.
